Sedation Dentistry

Relax, you're in great hands!
Nearly 40% of the population feels nervous or uncomfortable about going to the dentist or having dental procedures done, so much so that they put up with the pain and embarrassment of severely broken down teeth. Dr. Gracia understands the importance of helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable during dental procedures. With IV or Oral sedation dentistry, patients can sleep through long overdue dental work in a safe, comfortable manner. For those patients with mild anxiety, an oral sedative, nitrous oxide, and pain free techniques may be all that is needed to complete their dental work. If you feel that sedation is necessary for your dental care, give us a call to learn more about our sedation dentistry.

How You May Feel After Sedation
Most patients remember nothing about their treatment. A few will remember a little, usually at the end of the appointment when we are getting them ready to go home. You will need someone to bring you to our office on the day of your sedation appointment and you MUST have someone take you home afterward.

Safety of Sedation
During IV sedation, we use monitoring equipment to monitor your pulse and blood pressure. Youll be done before you know it, completely unaware of the time passing, and totally relaxed.
